Prominent Hong Kong entertainer Andy Lau has teamed up with famous composer Ronald Ng Lok Shing to produce the patriotic song "Mother" as a tribute to the upcoming 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, sohu.com reports.

Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Yellow and the Yangtse rivers, the music video is visually stunning. Soothing tones interweaved with nostalgia and patriotism give the song, which was written by Lau himself, a tender and powerful feel.

Andy Lau's hit song "Chinese People" (Zhong Guo Ren) in 1997, which celebrated Hong Kong's return to China is still popular today.
