A logo and slogan design contest for the Festival of India in China to mark 60 years of the Establishment of Sino-Indian ties was launched today.
The Embassy of India, Beijing and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) are jointly organizing this contest.
The slogan and logo should reflect the long history of friendship and goodwill between the two countries, according to a press release from the Embassy of India.
Other requirements include: 1. Each entry should have design of both the Slogan and Logo; 2. Slogan should be in Chinese characters; 3. Logo and Slogan should be in at least two colors; 4. Entry should be electronically sent to the following email address along with the name, age and address of the participant: ci.beijing@gmail.com; and 5. Resolution of the entry should be high enough to permit printing in large banners etc.
The competition is open to all Chinese citizens living in China. The winner will receive two air tickets Beijing-New Delhi-Beijing and will also be invited to the Opening Ceremony of the Festival of India in Beijing to receive the award.
All entries should reach the above email address by March 10, 2010. The decision of the organizers shall be final and be not subject to any legal action.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two governments have signed an agreement to conduct a Festival of India in China and a Festival of China in India during the year as a highlight of these celebrations.
The Sino-Indian diplomatic relations was established on April 1, 1950. India is the first non-socialist country to establish the ties with the People’s Republic of China.
