The world famous composer Michel Legrand was invited to give a concert for the Moscow Day in September, reported RIA Novosti news agency on Thursday.
Legrand, who is a French composer and conductor, will fill Russia's capital with French tunes on Sept. 4-5.
The Moscow authorities believe the concert will be a sensation during the Moscow Day.
Legrand became world famous for his music to the films including The Young Girls of Rochefort and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
He composed music accomplishment to more than 200 films and wrote over 100 personal albums.
He won three Oscar, out of 13 nominations, and five Grammys for his music.
