Hong Kong director Babara Wong's first mainland produced film, 9090, is now set to begin shooting.

The film focuses on the generation who were born after the year 1990.

Wong reckons this post 90's generation are unique with a different way of living, thinking and speaking.

She says this generation of young people are often seen as defiant - but that it is only natural in young people.

Wong is looking forward to having more time to produce the movie, because of what she describes as a less pressured working style on the mainland, compared to Hong Kong.
