Taiwan writer Chang Yu's latest book, "Huangtu Family," launched in Beijing on Dec. 6.
The book explores the life of Chang Wenxue, the author's grandfather. It follows his journey from Henan to Taiwan in 1949, his subsequent life in Taiwan, and his eventual return to his hometown after nearly four decades.
Spanning three generations, the narrative traces the family's experiences across the Taiwan Strait. It highlights the enduring strength of family bonds and explores a generation's quest for identity and emotional expression.
