The sensational Rio Tinto case is being processed by Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court. The suspects accused of stealing commerical secrets shall be standing up for trial. |
A three-day trial in China of four employees from the British-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto opened on Monday in Shanghai. The employees, including Australian national Stern Hu, were detained in August, 2009, on allegations of bribery and stealing commercial secrets.
Rio Tinto's ties with China were strained last year partly because of Chinalco's rejected deal and the arrest of four Rio Tinto employees.
