China and Angola share broad prospect in energy cooperation, which will facilitate economic development of both nations, Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang said on Sunday.
The Chinese government values the friendly cooperation with Angola, Li told Manuel Domingos Vicente, president and chief executive officer of Sonangol, Angola's state-owned oil company, during a meeting in Beijing.
Li hailed the friendship, political ties and cooperation between China and the oil-rich African state.
He asked for joint efforts to realize lasting and stable cooperation in energy and resources for mutual benefit.
Vicente said Sonangol will enhance cooperation with its Chinese partners in project development, trade and personnel training.
Angola was the largest source of Chinese oil imports in the first quarter, according to Li.
