China's leading automaker Chery has said that its May sales increased 43 percent from a year earlier to 52,410 vehicles, and exports surged 259 percent to 8,053 vehicles, taking the lead among the country's homegrown automakers.
Chery's sales growth in May was 14.65 percentage points higher than the country's average.
In the first five months, Chery sold a total of 264,303 vehicles.
The import and export volume totaled 32.14 billion U.S. dollars in northeast China's Liaoning Province in the first five months, indicating a year-on-year increase of 52 percent, the Shenyang Customs statistics show.
The exports were 17.06 billion dollars, up 52.4 percent year on year, while the imports were 15.08 billion dollars, up 51.5 percent.
Japan remained the largest trading partner of Liaoning, with the bilateral trade growing 30 percent year on year to reach 5.74 billion U.S. dollars.
The trade volume between northeast China's Heilongjiang Province and its largest trading partner Russia increased 14.3 percent year on year to 2.54 billion U.S. dollars in the first five months, Chinese customs statistics show.
Heilongjiang's imports from Russia have been on the rise this year. In the first five months, the imports rose by 68 percent year on year, according to the Harbin Customs.
The import and export volume totaled 6.806 billion U.S. dollars in east China's Jiangxi Province in the first five months, indicating a year-on-year increase of 61.9 percent, the Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Statistics show.
The exports were 3.852 billion dollars, up 56.7 percent year on year, while the imports were 2.954 billion dollars, up 69.3 percent.
