Hong Kong's Civil Aviation Department approved Tuesday a reduction of passenger fuel surcharges levied by Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines for July.
The maximum fuel surcharge for short-haul flights will fall 5 percent to 105 HK dollars while that for long-haul flights will drop 2 percent to 513 HK dollars, said the department.
The department considers and approves surcharge applications in accordance with the bilateral Air Services Agreements. It reviews the passenger fuel surcharges regularly.
