Chinese equities fell 0.92 percent in the morning session on Wednesday, in the wake of declines in the U.S. and European stock market.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.92 percent, or 23.76 points to 2,564.94 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 1.02 percent to end at 10,239.8 points.
The Dow Jones industrial average dipped Tuesday 146.85, or 1.41 percent, to 10,295.56. The Standard & Poor's 500 index was down 17.87, or 1.61 percent, to 1,095.33 while the Nasdaq declined 27.29, or 1.19 percent, to 2,261.80.
