Chinese equities extended their losses at opening and finished the morning session lower Friday after volatile trading.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.24 percent to open at 2,563.64 and once rebounded to half-day high 2,572.83 before falling 18.64 points, or 0.73 percent, to close the morning session at 2,548.1.
The Shenzhen Component Index slid 0.12 percent to open at 10,244.01 and moved out of negative territory to half-day high 10,219.72 before losing 158.35 points, or 1.54 percent, to end at 10,092.55 for the morning break.
