Chinese equities close mixed at midday Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 3.69 points, or 0.14 percent, to finish the morning session at 2,624.45.

The Shenzhen Component Index declined 0.19 percent to end at 10,747.79 at midday.
