East China's Jiangsu Province utilized 28.5 billion U.S. dollars of foreign direct investment in 2010, up 12.54 percent year on year, according to the provincial Department of Commerce.
FDI utilization of the province was China's highest for the eighth straight year.
Utilization of FDI in the province in 2010 exceeded 20 billion dollars for the fourth straight year.
About 70 percent of the FDI came from Asian countries and areas, up 21 percent year on year.
In the 2006-2010 five year period, utilization of FDI in the province totaled 118.2 billion dollars, double the amount during the previous five years.
