The revenue of the service outsourcing industry in Chengdu in southwest China's Sichuan Province reached 258 million U.S. dollars last year, an increase of 158 percent year-on-year, according to statistics from the Chengdu Bureau of Commerce.
Chengdu attracted leading professional institutions such as IBM and Accenture, which opened sub-branches in the area.
Last year, Chengdu signed cooperation agreements with local and foreign service outsourcing companies valued at 336 million U.S. dollars, a 99 percent increase year-on-year.
As one of China's sample cities for the service outsourcing industry, Chengdu topped the west China region in 2010.
