Google Inc. is one step closer to obtaining a license to operate its mapping service in China as its Chinese joint venture has passed an annual government review, Beijing Business Today reported Monday. Beijing Guxiang Information Technology Co., the Chinese joint venture that operates Google Maps in the country, has passed a yearly check required by authorities, the Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce said in a statement on its Web site. Established in June 2007 with registered capital of 5 million yuan, Beijing Guxiang is a 50-50 venture between Google and Chinese classified website Ganji.com. The State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping (SBSM) relaxed its rules on foreign online mapping service companies on June 3, allowing them to engage in joint ventures to provide the service. But foreign investors are not permitted to hold a majority stake in such ventures. On June 14, a SBSM official confirmed they had received Beijing Guxiang's application to offer an online mapping service in China and were examining the application. Since last year, mapping service providers are required to apply for a license to operate in China. By mid-February this year, the SBSM had issued Internet mapping licenses to 105 Web sites. |

谷翔成立于07年6月，注冊(cè)資本500萬(wàn)元，谷歌與趕集網(wǎng)各出資50%。 6月3日，國(guó)家測(cè)繪地理信息局對(duì)外發(fā)布信息，對(duì)外資互聯(lián)網(wǎng)企業(yè)申請(qǐng)地圖服務(wù)資質(zhì)略微松綁。允許設(shè)立中外合資企業(yè)；外國(guó)投資者的出資比例不得超過(guò)50%。 6月14日國(guó)家測(cè)繪地理信息局官員表示，他們已收到并正在審查北京谷翔信息技術(shù)有限公司的申請(qǐng)。 從去年起，互聯(lián)網(wǎng)地圖提供商須申請(qǐng)牌照才能在國(guó)內(nèi)市場(chǎng)運(yùn)營(yíng)。截至2011年2月中旬，中國(guó)國(guó)家測(cè)繪局已經(jīng)向105家網(wǎng)站頒發(fā)了互聯(lián)網(wǎng)地圖經(jīng)營(yíng)牌照。 |
