The fourth Entrepreneurship Beijing competition was officially launched on June 10, as announced by the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau on its official website. This year's competition, as dictated by the requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council for prioritizing the development of agricultural and rural areas, takes a special competitive focus on rural vitalization.
With the theme of "Entrepreneurship in Beijing, Realizing Dreams in Beijing," this year's competition will be divided into the main competition and a special competition focusing on rural vitalization. The main competition is further divided into two groups: an innovation project group and an entrepreneurial project group. The former is for entrepreneurial teams that registered their business within one year of the competition's launch, while the latter is for startups that have been registered for 1-5 years.
The rural vitalization competition is mainly targeted towards agricultural start-ups that have been registered for less than six years. The aim is to help rural residents seek employment or start local businesses to help increase their incomes. This special competition is undertaken by the Tongzhou District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.
Beijing has held three Entrepreneurship Beijing competitions since 2018. As an important platform for the city to stimulate the drive for innovation and entrepreneurship, the competitions have so far attracted registration from 2,738 companies and entrepreneurial teams. Among them, a total of 110 projects won awards in the municipal finals, winning financial support, entrepreneurial services, and other support measures. According to incomplete statistics, more than ten projects have received financial support equivalent to more than 10 million yuan.
