Brother Bao, the Thai business partner of Chinese hemp company Hempu Time(https://hemptimeshop.com), opened a comprehensive clinic, hemp clinic and hemp spa club in the country's capital Bangkok on May 10, helping to boost collaboration between the two companies.

Brother Bao is one of the most competitive medical hemp enterprises in Thailand. The company has dedicated itself to the medical hemp industry in Thailand for many years, boasting a wide business scope from hemp planting and production, product R&D and hemp clinic, to hemp and traditional Chinese medicine spa. With its full industrial chain development, the enterprise is leading the way among local hemp companies.

Brother Bao is currently setting up its own medical hemp planting and production bases - which are rare in Thailand - with plans for a launch ceremony of the project's first phase to be held in May.

Hempu Time has played an active part in construction of the bases, hoping to seek a larger market share and greater cooperation in Thailand and playing its trump card by debuting a CBD cream there featuring local ingredients in 2022 with Brother Bao. The Thai company owns two hemp farms, a greenhouse of around 8 hectares and a field of over 30 hectares, which provide raw hemp material for further processing.

Thailand legalized medical hemp in 2019, becoming the first country in Asia to do so. The following year, the country released preferential regulations concerning medical hemp, allowing doctors and patients to apply for licenses to plant hemp, and for pharmaceutical manufacturers to export medical hemp products.

Thai Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul planned to offer 1 million cannabis plants for free when household cultivation and use of the plant is legalized in June, according to a May 16 report on Thailand's news website The Nation Thailand. On June 9, hemp will be reclassified as a medicine in Thailand as the country removes the plant from its list of illegal drugs under control and the government aims to turn the country into a center for medical and health care by legalizing hemp. Among the first batch of countries to legalize the planting, sale and consumption of hemp in Asia, Thailand is leading the way across the continent.
