Beijing has approved plans to transform a 515-hectare area in Beijing Daxing Economic Development Zone into a digital innovation hub, focusing on software development, digital healthcare, and digital culture.
The zone, located in northeastern the Daxing Xincheng area, will feature a ring-shaped layout with three distinct sections: an innovation cluster in the north, service facilities in the center, and a digital transformation area in the south. Each section will include specialized centers for arts, leisure, and startup incubation.
The project aims to attract leading tech companies while repurposing vacant factories and underutilized industrial spaces. Improved public infrastructure, including new roads and educational facilities, will support the area's transformation into an internationally competitive innovation district.
