Taiwan Sunday reported five new hospitalized A/H1N1 flu cases, bringing the island's total such cases to 319, local epidemic control authorities said.
These five victims of one male and four females were aged between four to 42.
So far, the flu has claimed 21 lives on the island. Among the hospitalized cases, 28 remained there and the rest were out of hospital, the authorities said.
A total of 334 classes in 222 schools have been suspended on the island, in an attempt to prevent further spread of the flu, according to the authorities.
