Six people were trapped underground after a coal mine was flooded Friday morning in southwestern China's Guizhou Province, according to local government.
The flooding accident happened at around 7:20 a.m. Friday at Kexing Coal Mine in Sayu Town of Anlong County, Southwestern Guizhou Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, when 30 people were working underground.
Twenty-four people escaped unharmed, and the remaining six were trapped underground.
Rescue work is under way and cause of the accident is being investigated.
