China's anti-corruption chief He Guoqiang Wednesday urged to strengthen supervision within the Communist Party of China (CPC) by improving the system and practices of intra-Party inspection.
He, head of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, made the remarks when attending a training session for cadres doing inspection work.
A regulation on inspection work of the CPC was introduced last year. Inspectors' duty is to spot and report corruptions and malfeasance of officials.
He called on efforts to implement this regulation to make intra-Party supervision more effective.
He also stressed transparency and capacity building of inspection cadres.
