An explosion damaged a police station in central China's Hubei Province Wednesday, but no casualties were reported, police said.
The blast occurred at 11:25 a.m. in the ground-floor reception hall of the main building of Dangyang Municipal Public Security Bureau, said a statement from the city police.
A man surnamed Xia was detained after the blast, said the statement, which gave no further details of the incident.
Police are continuing their investigation into the explosion.
