Families and relatives of the Aug. 24 plane crash victims will receive 960,000 yuan in compensation for each death, Henan Airlines said Monday.
The compensation, about 141,094 U.S. dollars, conforms with China's civil aviation regulations, the company said.
A Brazilian-made Henan Airlines jet carrying 96 people crashed in Yichun, a remote, mountainous city in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province last Tuesday. Forty-two of the people aboard the flight died.
It was the deadliest aviation accident in China since 2004.
