China will "actively participate" in global economic governance and regional cooperation over the next five years, the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said in a communique released Monday after its fifth plenary session.
"China will pursue a mutually beneficial strategy of opening-up, further open up to the outside world and optimize its foreign trade structure," said the communique.
The four-day meeting, which ended Monday, examined and approved proposals for formulating the development plan for the next five years (2011-2015).
"China will vigorously participate in global economic cooperation and create new competitive advantages," the document said.
