At least six people died and 10 others were injured after a coach collided with a truck on a fog-shrouded national highway early Wednesday morning in Hechi City, southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Rescuers sent by the Hechi municipal fire department said the coach veered off the highway to a 10-meter deep roadside ditch after the collision at about 6 a.m. on a section of the No. 210 national highway in Nandan County of the city.
The local authorities have confirmed that there were altogether 48 people on board the coach registered in neighboring Guizhou Province. Six people died on the spot.
Among the ten injured people sent to hospital, one was in critical condition, rescuers said.
An investigation into the accident is continuing.
