China is always consistent and clear in its position on the Diaoyu Islands. We completely oppose the unilateral action taken by Japan in "purchasing" the islands, which is illegal and futile. The Chinese government is persistent and staunch in protecting and sustaining the integrity of its territorial sovereignty. Japan needs to ultimately understand the severity of the situation, turning from the wrong decisions it has made, and return to the path where the overall development of the Sino-Japan relations can be sustained.
