The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences unveiled two key laboratories on Friday, with one focused on archaeological sciences and cultural heritage protection and the other on linguistics.
The laboratories are expected to conduct interdisciplinary research using the latest scientific advancements and technologies, according to the academy.
An institute for collaborative innovation in rare and endangered studies under the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was also inaugurated on the same day to cultivate professionals in disciplines such as Manchu studies, Turkic studies, and classics.
