A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said in Beijing on Thursday that the CPC will enhance party to party exchanges and cooperation with the Party of Progress and Socialism of Morocco (PPS).
Wang Gang, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation of the PPS.
The delegation, led by PPS General Secretary Mohammed Nabil Benabdallah, is visiting China from April 19 to 25.
Morocco is one of the first African countries to establish diplomatic ties with China, said Wang, adding that bilateral relations have developed steadily since the two countries first forged their diplomatic relationship more than 50 years ago.
With increasing mutual trust, deepening economic and trade cooperation and expanding cultural exchanges, China-Morocco relations have become more broad, Wang said.
He said the CPC values cooperative relations with the PPS, and is willing to strengthen party to party exchanges and cooperation with the PPS in an effort to jointly consolidate bilateral relations.
Benabdallah said the PPS will work with the CPC to promote the development of bilateral relations and bring benefits to citizens of both nations.
