The presidium of the first session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) on Thursday tabled the candidate list for China's new premier to the NPC delegations for discussion.
Also submitted for discussion were the candidate list for vice chairpersons and members of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People's Republic of China, as well as the candidate lists for the president of the Supreme People's Court and the procurator-general, said a statement issued after a presidium meeting.
The candidates for premier and CMC vice chairpersons and members were nominated by newly-elected President and CMC Chairman Xi Jinping.
The candidates for the president of the Supreme People's Court and the procurator-general were proposed by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
On Friday, nearly 3,000 NPC deputies will vote to decide on the premier and CMC vice chairpersons. They will also vote to elect the president of the Supreme People's Court and the procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
