Three robotic nurses produced by a Chinese company have been put into service at a private hospital in Thailand.
The robots are being put to work in the pharmacy, kitchen and laundry, where they will assist with paper work and object transfers.
The Shenzhen-based producer of the robots says they can speak many languages including Chinese and Thai.
The robots are guided by magnetic stripes on the floor.
Workers can also preset the robots for how long and where they will stay.
According to the hospital, the robotic nurses are actually Automated Guided Vehicles that can follow a preset path guided by magnetic or optical devices.
The robots are expected to save more manpower for better care of the patients.
