Former NBA star Tracy McGrady scored 26 pointed and received a technical foul on Friday night, while his Qingdao Doublestar, which suffered a 12-straight loss before the CBA last round, lost again.
Zhejiang Chouzhou beat Qingdao Doublestar 120-111.
Facing a tight defense from Ding Jinhui of Zhejiang, McGrady pushed him on the ground and got a technical foul in the 6th minute of the match.
Qingdao led with 5-0 at the very beginning of the game, but Zhejiang fight back and topped Qingdao with 25-19 at the end of the first quarter.
With six straight points from Chris Daniels and help from Zhai Jinshuai, Qingdao leveled the score 45-45 and established a three-point lead in the first half.
Before the final quarter, two teams were back to draw 88-88. Gong Songlin and Zhang Chunjun scored three-pointers respectively in the key time of last quarter and helped Zhejiang to seal the victory.
McGrady, seven-time NBA all star, also pocketed eight rebounds and five assistants, and his teammate Daniels got a game high 37 points and 12 rebounds.
The other superstar Stephon Marbury snatched 28 points and led his Beijing Ducks to win over Fujian SBS with 101-91.
