China's centrally-administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs) had donated more than 386 million yuan (56.5 million U.S. dollars) in cash to quake-hit northwest Qinghai Province as of Tuesday noon, the industry watchdog said Wednesday.
The money came from 83 of the 126 central SOEs under China's State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC).
They also donated 500,000 Hong Kong dollars (64,410 U.S. dollars), the SASAC said in a statement on its website Wednesday, adding 10 central SOEs donated relief goods worth 24.84 million yuan.
