The residents of Taiwan have made monetary donations equivalent to 66 million yuan (about 9.71 million U.S. dollars) to Yushu quake zone by Tuesday, a spokeswoman of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council said Wednesday.
Fan Liqing told a press conference that the Taiwan compatriots had also donated relief materials, including food, medicine, bottled water, since the 7.1-magnitude earthquake jolted the area April 14.
