"Lilo & Stitch," the 41st animation produced by Walt Disney Pictures, has chosen Taiwan's F4 group as its spokesmen in Asia, Disney said Monday. The group will sing the theme song of the new animation in Chinese.
The theme song "Can't Help Falling In Love? was a hit song for Elvis Presley, chosen to pay special tribute to the late singer. The heroine of the animation--Lilo--is a frenzied Elvis fan.
Disney Pictures said they chose F4 to sing the theme song in Asia because of the idol group's charm and popularity in parts of Asia. Disney paid much respect to the four big boys of F4, whose average age is 24 years old. Special tours have been arranged for F4 for their visit to the headquarters of Disney in the United States. The studio is not open to the public and is said to be Disney's business and technical secret. This is reportedly the first time Disney has extended an invitation for a complete tour of the grand studio.
F4 has also been invited to sign the official contract with Disney sometime next month in the United States. The new animation will premiere in Asia in mid-July.
