Local Committees of the CPC

According to the Regulations of the CPC on the Local Committees, the local committees, playing the role of leadership core, guide the overall situation and coordinate the work of all relevant departments in the local regions. In line with the Four-pronged Comprehensive Strategy, they exercise overall leadership over local economic, political, cultural, social and eco-environmental development. They are responsible for the development of the Party in their regions.

The local committees mainly exercise political, theoretical and organizational leadership, setting the right direction, managing the overall conditions, making decisions, and ensuring their implementation. They are elected for a term of five years at the Party congresses at the corresponding levels and are composed of members and alternative members. These members provide broad representation and are well-qualified in terms of length of Party membership, age, gender, and professional proficiency.

The standing committee of a local Party committee is elected at the plenary meeting of the said local Party committee, and its members include the secretary and the deputy secretaries of the said local Party committee.

《中國共產(chǎn)黨地方委員會(huì)工作條例》指出，中國共產(chǎn)黨的地方委員會(huì)在本地區(qū)發(fā)揮總攬全局、協(xié)調(diào)各方的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)核心作用，按照協(xié)調(diào)推進(jìn)“四個(gè)全面”戰(zhàn)略布局，對本地區(qū)經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)、政治建設(shè)、文化建設(shè)、社會(huì)建設(shè)、生態(tài)文明建設(shè)實(shí)行全面領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，對本地區(qū)黨的建設(shè)全面負(fù)責(zé)。

黨的地方委員會(huì)主要實(shí)行政治、思想和組織領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，把方向、管大局、作決策、保落實(shí)。黨的地方委員會(huì)由同級黨代

表大會(huì)選舉產(chǎn)生，由委員、候補(bǔ)委員組成，每屆任期五年。黨的地方委員會(huì)委員、候補(bǔ)委員配備應(yīng)當(dāng)具有代表性，符合黨齡、年齡、性別、專業(yè)等方面要求。黨的地方委員會(huì)的常務(wù)委員會(huì)由黨的地方委員會(huì)全體會(huì)議選舉產(chǎn)生，由黨的地方委員會(huì)書記、副書記和常委會(huì)其他委員組成。
