On the newly released list of delegates to the 17th Communist Party of China (CPC) National Congress, there are four pairs of brothers and also a brother and sister pair, according to Hong Kong's Wenweipo newspaper.

The four pairs of brothers include Wang Lequan, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Party Secretary of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and his elder brother Wang Leyi.

Wang Lequan started his career in his hometown Shouguang County, east China's Shandong Province. He was appointed Party Secretary of Shouguang County, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League of Shandong and Vice Governor. In 1991, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and then Party Secretary. Wang Leyi, a well-known national labor model, is regarded as the "father of greenhouse vegetable production".

Wang Lequan once headed a study group returning to Shouguang. And his brother also organized vegetable transportation to Xinjiang in order to enrich local markets. The two brothers were elected delegates in Xinjiang and Shandong respectively.

Ling Jihua, a native of Pinglu County, Shanxi Province, is now Executive Deputy Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee. His previous posts included Deputy Director of the General Office of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Youth League Central Committee. His elder brother, Ling Zhengce, also an elected delegate, serves as Director of the Development and Reform Commission of Shanxi Province.

Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), Li Tieying is a native of Changsha, Hunan Province. He was a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the Sate Councilor and President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His younger brother, Li Tielin, was executive deputy head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Minister of Personnel and Director of the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform. Their father, Li Weihan, was a senior CPC official. All of the three were elected members of the CPC Central Committee.

The Yang brothers are natives of Yucheng, Shandong Province. Yang Chuantang, the younger brother, was appointed Secretary of the Communist Youth League of Shandong, Standing Committee Member of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee. In 1993, he was appointed Deputy Party Secretary, Standing Committee Member and Executive Vice Chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region. In 2003, he was appointed Governor of Qinghai Province, and Party Secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Region later in 2004. After leaving the post due to health problems at the end of 2005, he was appointed, in June 2006, Deputy Director and Deputy Party Secretary of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. Yang Chuansheng, the elder brother, is serving in Shandong Province. He was appointed director of the provincial bureau of personnel and Secretary-General of CPC Shandong Committee. He is now serving as a Standing Committee Member of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and as Secretary of the CPC Shandong Discipline Inspection Commission.

The brother and sister pair is the offspring of Deng Xiaoping. De Pufang, the eldest son of Deng Xiaoping, is Chairman of the China Disabled Person's Federation. And Deng Nan, the second daughter of Deng Xiaoping serves as the Executive Vice Chairman and Party Secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology.
