The Yunnan Province Song and Dance Theater will perform Songs of the Red Earth in Hong Kong to celebrate the 55th National Day of the People's Republic of China, announced the Hong Kong government on Tuesday.
As introduced, the program will have a new version for its HongKong tour. Four sections of the show including The Music of the Waters, The Spirit of the Mountains, The Love of Songs and The Passion for Dance, incorporate folk dances of the Han and many of the exotic dance elements of the ethnic groups in Yunnan.
Over the years, Yunnan Province Song and Dance Theater has staged ethnic song and dance galas, concerts and ethnic dance dramas, featuring performances that are creative, colorful and full of national characteristics.
The theater has toured more than 30 countries and regions and received high acclaim.
