Book fair of Chinese, Hungarian literature debuts in Beijing
Adjust font size:

As part of the "Hungarian Season in China" cultural exchange activities, a book exhibition of Chinese and Hungarian literary translation opened in Beijing on Thursday.

Most of the books exhibited were Chinese edition of Hungarian literary works and Chinese works translated into Hungarian.

"Through those translation works we can see the history of cultural exchanges between our two countries and I hope the exhibition would deepen friendship and promote mutual understanding," Hungarian Minister of Education and Cultural Hiller Istvan said at the opening ceremony.

These books will be exhibited in the National Library of China till Nov. 28.

Besides, the "Hungarian Season in China" will also involve a series of activities including concerts, Hungarian movie shows and a translation forum co-organized by Beijing Foreign Studies University and Hungary's Eotvos Lorand University Confucius Institute.
