Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree announcing mourning in the country in connection with the tragic consequences of a terrorist attack in Moscow, the presidential press service informed RIA Novosti. October 28th will be announced as the day of mourning.
The total number of those who died as a result of the terrorist attack in Moscow for the moment reaches 118 people, said Russia's Health Ministry.
The Moscow prosecutor's office, in order to establish the personalities and identify those who died as a result of the terrorist attack, set up a group to work with appeals from citizens seeking their relatives and friends.
Most of the former hostages, undergoing treatment in Moscow hospitals, are in a satisfactory condition.
Ambulances with doctors continue to arrive at the war veterans' hospital, which earlier housed the crisis management centre. Victims are being given medical assistance and psychological support. Put up on the entrance door are lists of people inside, with the condition of the patient indicated by doctors against each name.
Hundreds of Muscovites are bringing flowers and candles to the site of the tragedy.
