China will inject new vigor into State-level economic and technological development zones in the next few years, the Ministry of Science and Technology said.
First, the ministry will draft a set of regulations to create a favourable development environment.
Second, the ministry will invest more capital in technological innovation projects, especially the construction of college-associated technological parks. Also, the ministry encourages cooperation between the academic research institutions and the zones.
Third, the ministry encourages establishment of technological intermediate service agencies.
Fourth, the ministry will support companies in the zones to conduct cooperation with international institutes.
Fifth, international personnel exchange centres will be established in the zones.
Last, the ministry will impose full supervisions and management of the zones. Those companies with poor performance records will be punished and even disqualified from the State-level zones.
