Hong Kong singer Gillian Chung in female pop duo Twins resumed work
formally Tuesday night after having been caught up in a nude photo
scandal.
Website sina.com.cn reported that Chung went back to work after
she had apologized for the photo scandal on Monday.
Chung was surrounded by reporters on her way to the recording
room where she works, but she refused to give further comment on
the scandal.
As the first celebrity who replied to the scandal, Chung was
supported by many other stars and her fans. Several directors also
expressed their support, but advertisement agencies have taken a
more cautious attitude, according to a report of Beijing
Morning Post.
The nude photo scandal, which has lasted for two weeks and
involve several local celebrities, has drawn high attention from
Hong Kong Special Administrative Regional government.
Investigation of the scandal was urged and moral education will
be introduced to schools. Positive reports of the press were also
encouraged, according to website nen.com.cn.
Starting from January 27, more than four hundred nude photos
have been posted online, with seven female celebrities
involved.
