A cold wave is expected to bring strong winds and sharp temperature drops in most parts of eastern China over the next three days, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) forecast today.
Temperatures in north China, central and eastern parts of Inner Mongolia, as well as regions along the Yellow River and Huaihe River would drop by 8 to 12 degrees Celsius.
Northern parts of Hebei Province, western parts of Liaoning Province and southwestern parts of Heilongjiang Province would see temperatures plunge by 14 to 16 degrees Celsius, according to the CMA.
Moderate or heavy snow is forecast in northeastern parts of Inner Mongolia and most parts of northeast China. Light rain or moderate sleet is expected to hit eastern parts of southwestern China, southern China and regions along the Yangtze River and Han River.
