A cold front will sweep across northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Monday night and move eastwards, bringing strong winds and temperature drops in northern China, the National Meteorological Center said Monday.
Light to medium snow or sleet is forecast to fall in northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, northeastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, most parts of Heilongjiang Province and and northern Jilin Province.
Heavy snow is forecast in northern parts of northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the Ili River Valley.
The cold front will cause a temperature drop of four to eight degrees Celsius from Monday in northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, middle and eastern parts of northwestern China, most parts of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northern parts of northern China and northeastern China.
Temperature drops will be ten to 16 degrees Celsius in middle and eastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Areas in middle and eastern China can also expect rainfall.
Heavy rain will hit eastern Hubei, central and northern Anhui, northwestern Jiangsu and southeastern Shandong provinces in the coming three days.
