Britain wishes to deepen its cooperation with China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in low-carbon industries, its ambassador to China said Hohhot Monday.
Britain's low-carbon industry is competitive in technology, commercial application and government support, while Inner Mongolia has shown great potential in developing a low-carbon economy, Sebastian Wood, Britain's ambassador to China, said.
There is room for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field, Wood said.
Cutting carbon discharge is an urgent issue not only for China, but for the world as well, and Britain attaches much importance to cooperation in developing the low-carbon economy worldwide, Wood said.
Wood held talks with Inner Mongolia's commerce and environmental protection authorities and claimed that some ways to boost low-carbon economy cooperation have already been found. But he declined to give further details.
