Australia to set another limit on tobacco advertising

Australian federal government on Wednesday will introduce to parliament a draft laws to further limit selling of cigarette.
The legislation will bring restrictions on tobacco advertising on the Internet and in other media. Retailers will be prohibited from peddling cigarettes as "cheap" or "tax free" on the Internet under the draft law.
According to Health Minister Nicola Roxon, the new measure, coupled with a plan to mandate the plain packaging of tobacco products from 2012, will give Australia the world's toughest measures against tobacco.
The maximum penalty for each breach of the law will be 13,200 U. S. dollars.
