The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) holds a conference on the Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB) towards green economy in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Wednesday.
The two-day conference, which attracts over 130 delegates, was jointly organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), ASEAN Center for Biodiversity and German International Cooperation Agency.
Participants exchanged experience and information on how to use economic tools with the ecosystem and biodiversity, and implementation and development of the TEEB in Southeast Asian countries for sustainable growth.
Plan and policy making, as well as establishment of the network for information exchange in the field are also put under discussion.
