The Asahi KASEI China Fashion Designer Creation Awards were
launched at the Beijing Hotel on March 22,2007. The event was
hosted by the Organizing Committee of the China Fashion Week, Asahi
KASEI Corporation, Asahi KASEI Fibers Corporation, and organized by
Beijing Bentley Culture Development Co., Ltd.
The representatives from China and Japan, as well as fashion
professionals and press members from domestic and international
organizations will attend the signing
ceremony.???
The Asahi KASEI China Awards were established to financially
support talented Chinese designers to develop their creativity,
create fashion lifestyles, and lead fashion trends. At the same
time, this event will promote the popularity and influence of Asahi
KASEI in China by using the social influence of China Fashion
Week.
The Asahi KASEI China Awards will premiere in November 2007, and
be held two times every year in March and November respectively
during China Fashion Week. The organizing committee of Asahi KASEI
China Awards will invite the winning designers of "China Top 10
Designers Awards" to participate in this event.
The organizing committee will select two designers (one for S/S
collection, another for A/W collection) from the candidates. The
winning designers will be awarded trophies and certificates by the
organizing committee of CFW and Asahi KASEI Corporation; Asahi
KASEI Corporation and Asahi KASEI Fibers Corporation will sponsor
the awarded designers to launch Asahi KASEI Awarded Designers'
Fashion Show during China Fashion
Week.????

The awarded designers of Asahi KASEI China Awards shall accomplish
the missions, including making a collection of 50-60 outfits by
using Asahi KASEI fabrics; attending the related Press Conference,
meetings and seminars; participating in the overall production of
Asahi KASEI Awarded Designers' Fashion Show; assuring the high
quality of the collection for Asahi KASEI Awarded Designers'
Fashion Show.
The Asahi KASEI Corporation and Asahi KASEI Fibers Corporation
will support awarded designers by providing the Asahi KASEI fabric
for making the collection for Asahi KASEI Awarded Designers'
Fashion Show for free, covering the fees of 50,000 yuan in
collection production, the fees for venue, stage decoration,
lighting and sound equipments etc. for the production, the fees for
no less than 30 models, show producers, music producers, make-up,
backstage management, the travel expense between Beijing and
awarded designer's living place and accommodation expense of the
awarded designer's team (no more than 3 persons) in Beijing during
the show.
The awards are backed by the Asahi KASEI Fibers Corporation. It
is the first time for them to cooperate with China Fashion Week;
this event is significant for Chinese designers, and will promote
the internationalization of the Chinese fashion industry. What's
more, the cooperation between a famous textile brand and talented
fashion designers will improve the popularity of Chinese fashion
designers and fashion brands in the market.
The company believes the Asahi KASEI China Awards will be at the
highest level of the Chinese fashion industry, and will make
Chinese designers' dreams come true.
As one of World Top 500, Asahi KASEI's brand "Bemberg" has been
a legend in swimwear industry throughout the world. Sportswear big
names, such as Adidas, Nike, Puma, Reebok have been clients of
