Hong Kong health authorities reported a new death case of the influenza A/H1N1 on Tuesday, bringing the number of such cases in the city to 69.
The latest case involved a 53-year-old male patient with diabetes and end-stage renal failure. He went to Princess Margaret Hospital on Feb. 11 over fever and pneumonia syndrome.
He was tested positive for influenza A/H1N1 on Feb. 13 and had been in a critical condition. He finally succumbed Tuesday morning.
The case has been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office and the Center for Health Protection.
