China will adopt international standards on luggage restrictions
for flight passengers traveling overseas from May 1, limiting each
passenger to one liter of liquid.
The General Administration of the Civil Aviation of China (CAAC)
released the new regulations on Tuesday and said it was the latest
security measure introduced to ensure flight safety in accordance
with international
standards.??????
All containers carrying liquid must be placed in a transparent
and resealable plastic bag, the new regulation says.
One passenger is limited to one plastic bag and the bag will be
checked by security.
Inbound passengers can carry liquid items of no more than one
liter while alcohol has to be put in the check-in luggage.
Under the regulations, liquid food for infants and liquid
medicine for patients can be taken on board after going through
security checks.
