Pilots of the crashed Air France flight lost vital speed data, France's investigators said on Friday based on the reading of the plane's salvaged flight data recorder, or black box, CNN reported.
The air speed displayed on the left primary flight display was "inconsistent" with those on the integrated standby instrument system (ISIS), which may have caused the crash, according to interim reports.
Miles O'Brien, a pilot and aviation analyst suggested the flight's pilot might have got wrong information that the air speed was too high, so he pulled up the nose to reduce it, leading the aircraft to stall and eventually crash.
